9/30 Game Recap:  We had a great game on Sat. as we were shorthanded and the girls had to play every Q with no breaks.  Strong goalkeeping by Erin,Rebecca,Shyanne, and Lara supported an excellent defense anchored by Rebecca,Leila,Lynn,Erin, and Shyanne.  The offense got going ea rly with a goal by Rebecca in the first 30 seconds of the game.  Even though the Mighty Mambas came back to even the score, our defense was strong and held the Mambas to no more goals, Lara made a great reflexive save in the 4th Q to keep the Mambas from closing the gap.  Anna was able to break through in the 2nd half and put the game away with 2 goals!  We got strong play from all as they are playing many positons.  Lara helped tremendously in midfield and defense, and Lynn was all over the field playing all the positions.  I see improvement in all areas and I hope all are having fun.

 

 10/14,10/15,10/21 Game Recaps:   I have been so excited about our last three games.  Even though we only won 1, and tied the other two, the team is playing great.  I have seen so much improvement in every single girl!  Everyone is passing and starting to understand the game.  The defense has been awesome! Everyone is going to the ball and turning it outside and either getting it out of bounds or up the sideline to a teammate.  Our goalies Erin, Rebecca, and Shyanne have helped preserve our wins and ties with agressive goal keeping.  The girls are playing their hearts out.  I ask the girls to play many different positions and they are all working hard wherever they are.  Leila and Lara are playing great defense, Lynn, Kim, Anna, and Juliette are all over the place both on offense and defense.  Erin,Lara, and Leila all got chances to score and help us to victory.  Rebecca and Shyanne always work hard at wherever they are asked to play, even if it is goalie!  Every player on the Lavender Lions is helping to make us a great TEAM!  There is no I in TEAM, and all our girls exemplify this.  On to next week and beyond, the goal still remains to HAVE FUN !!!!
